Reclaimed Voices: A Night of Connection, Courage, and Speaking Our Truths

Women who attended the Reclaimed Voices event at Sophie’s Gasthaus.

Last month, I had the opportunity to attend Reclaimed Voices, hosted by Tiffany Sage at Sophie’s Gasthaus in the heart of downtown New Braunfels, TX. The space itself was stunning, warm, inviting, and filled with the kind of energy that immediately makes you feel at home.

As we arrived, we were greeted by a gorgeous grazing table overflowing with charcuterie, fresh fruit, and artisanal bites. Beautifully crafted teas and mocktails set the tone for an evening that nourished not just our bodies, but our souls.

The Power of the Voice

Tiffany Sage, Certified Somatic Coach and Breathwork Facilitator, led the evening with such grounded presence. She invited us to be audacious with our voices, to take up space and speak from a place of truth and self-trust. Tiffany is building a community of self-aware, healed women who are learning to use their voices courageously and consciously, and I am absolutely here for it.

April Pertuis, founder of Lightbeamers, reminded us of the life-changing power of storytelling. She encouraged us to share our authentic stories as a bridge for connection, not perfection. Her message resonated deeply with me, as I’ve personally been through April’s Speak Easy program and had the opportunity to craft my own signature talk. The process brought up blocks I didn’t even realize I had around visibility and vulnerability, but moving through them helped me rediscover my voice. I left that experience feeling ready to shine and connect on stages by telling my authentic Money Story, one that inspires and empowers other women to do the same.

Dr. Denisse Sangha, a cardiologist with a deep understanding of the mind-body connection, shared how emotional blocks can manifest physically. She spoke about a patient who presented with heart symptoms, yet had no underlying medical condition, revealing how unresolved emotions can surface in the body. Her collaboration with Tiffany through somatic coaching offered a profound reminder that healing is holistic.

Dr. Denisse also shared her vision for the medical field, that not only she, but other physicians, would be more present, aware, and attuned to their patients’ emotional and energetic needs in addition to their physical ones. Her approach bridges science and spirit in a way that could truly redefine patient care and deepen healing outcomes.

Kristi Grider, a talented singer-songwriter, spoke vulnerably about her own experience with vocal issues. She realized that her creative block wasn’t physical, it stemmed from performing songs she thought others wanted to hear instead of expressing her authentic truth. Once she reclaimed her voice, her physical healing began. Kristi then led us through a simple but powerful release exercise where we hummed, sang, and released tension in our jaws, feeling the vibration of our voices throughout our bodies.

To close the evening, Kristi picked up her guitar and sang the song she wrote that began her own healing journey. Her voice carried through the room like a gentle reminder that when we reclaim our authentic expression, we reclaim our power. It was the perfect ending to an evening centered on courage, connection, and emotional release.

The Moment of Release

The most powerful part of the evening came when attendees were invited to the microphone to declare what they were releasing. The room vibrated with raw emotion, courage, and liberation. Each woman who spoke reflected a piece of all of us, the parts that have been quieted, dismissed, or doubted.

For me, this experience hit even deeper. In the wake of the recent Charlie Kirk assassination attempt, I realized how precious and powerful our voices truly are. I recognized that I had been taking mine for granted, not using it boldly or frequently enough to advocate for the women entrepreneurs I serve.

That night, I declared that I am audacious with my voice.
I released the fear of whether people would resonate with my message.
And I left with a new level of curiosity and respect for somatic work as a holistic path for healing and empowerment.

Why This Matters

Events like Reclaimed Voices remind us that empowerment is not found in isolation, but in community and shared vulnerability. When we speak our truth, we invite others to do the same, and that ripple creates real change.

If you’ve ever felt blocked, silenced, or disconnected from your authentic voice, I encourage you to explore somatic healing and storytelling as tools for transformation. Our bodies carry wisdom that our minds often overlook, and when we integrate both, our voice becomes a channel for purpose, peace, and prosperity.

Key Takeaway:
Your voice is not just meant to be heard, it’s meant to be felt. The world needs your authentic expression, your truth, and your light.
